What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?

What can I expect?

 

The results of facial rejuvenation acupuncture are not as dramatic as cosmetic surgery or injections; however, a series of 10-12 treatments can often make a person appear 5-15 years younger. Results are visible to the client and practitioner after only a few treatments, while lasting improvements noticed by others usually appear after the sixth or seventh treatment. Depending on your goals for treatment, a series of anywhere from 5-15 consecutive treatments followed by monthly or seasonal maintenance sessions is recommended in order to obtain significant, lasting results.

Each facial rejuvenation acupuncture session lasts 90 minutes. What do treatments involve?

 

Acupuncture is an enjoyable, restorative, deeply relaxing experience. At Sakura Naturopathic Clinic + Organic Spa, our treatment suites are luxurious, warm and private.

 

Every 90 minute facial rejuvenation acupuncture session begins with a whole body acupuncture treatment that targets any imbalances in the body, boosts vitality, and promotes deep relaxation. Hair thin acupuncture needles are placed at specific anatomical locations called acupuncture points. Each acupuncture point has a particular action on the body and the most helpful points are selected based on your needs. 

 

Once the body points have been placed, attention is directed toward the face. The skin is cleansed to remove makeup and impurities before hair thin needles are gently placed at specific locations to address your cosmetic and/or dermatological concerns. Once all needles have been positioned they are left in place for a period of time to allow their actions to take effect. 

 

Before the treatment concludes, acupuncture needles are removed and the client receives a soothing scalp, neck and facial massage followed by the application of a potent anti-aging or balancing serum and organic facial moisturizer. Clients have the option to enhance this experience by following any session with an organic facial.
